ECG Course Details

The ECG course is for new grad or less experienced nurses who would like to take the Critical Care and/or Telemetry course. The course includes EKG interpretation and is an online format.

  • Next cohort dates: September 29, 2020 - October 8, 2020
  • Cost: $85 (+ $15 registration fee)
  • Format: Online didactic
  • Credits: 1
  • Pre-requisites:
    • Licensed RN or New Grad

Critical Care Program Details

The Critical Care Nursing course is for licensed nurses who are interested in entering the critical care environment or nurses who seek to increase their expertise in critical care. The course includes basic anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology, as well as disease management for the following systems: cardiac, respiratory, neuroscience, gastrointestinal, renal, endocrine and hematology, hemodynamics, and ventilator management.

  • Next cohort dates: October 12, 2020 - November 20, 2020
  • Schedule: Mondays (*online) and Fridays (4 hours/day in-person SIM/Lab)
  • Location: Online and GateWay Community College
  • Cost: $340 (+ $15 registration fee; includes reference book)
  • Format: Online didactic (lecture) with in-person SIM/Lab
  • Credits: 4
  • Pre-requisites:
    • Licensed RN with at least 1 year of experience
* The online didactic instruction provided on Mondays is synchronous and asynchronous. It can be completed based on the student's availability. Synchronous sessions will be recorded.

Telemetry Course Details

The Telemetry Nursing course is for licensed nurses who are interested in increasing their knowledge or entering a telemetry environment. The course includes an overview of cardiac anatomy and physiology, and the conduction system. 

  • Next cohort dates: October 26, 2020 - December 5, 2020
  • Schedule: Mondays (*online) and Fridays or Saturdays (4 hours/day in-person SIM/Lab)
  • Location: Online and Paradise Valley Community College
  • Cost: $340 (+ $15 registration fee; includes reference book)
  • Format: Online didactic (synchronous and asynchronous lecture) with in-person SIM/lab
  • Credits: 4
  • Pre-requisites:
    • Current Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or permission of Instructor
* The online didactic instruction provided on Mondays is synchronous and asynchronous. It can be completed based on the student's availability. Synchronous sessions will be recorded.
