What is Cable and Wire Harness Assembly?

The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Cable and Wire Harness Assembly will prepare you to receive the "Certified IPC Specialist" (CIS) certification from The Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits (IPC)/Wire Harness Manufacturer`s Association (WHMA) in "Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies" (IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification).

 

Topics covered and skills to be demonstrated are: soldered terminations, crimp terminations, insulation displacement terminations (IDC), splices, connectorization, marking/labeling, coaxial cable assemblies, electrical shielding, wire marking and labeling, and testing methodologies. Certification is verified by a certified IPC trainer (CIT).

Hybrid class includes face-to-face format on campus at the time listed in the class schedule. The other part will be held online either without a set time to attend or a Live Online session.

2. Follow the email instructions to take the Pre-Assessment test. 
  1. 3. Upon successfully passing the Pre-Assessment test, select the class you want to enroll in. 
  2. 4. Complete the required Admissions steps for Mesa Community College
