Specialty Nursing Training

According to a recent survey of the Valley’s major healthcare providers and supporting market data, 20,508 openings for specialty nurses are projected by 2025. Employers are looking for nurses like you (both RNs and LPNs!) to fill these positions, and we're here to help you quickly get the skills you need. With online and flexible in-person lab components, our classes are designed to work around your busy schedule!

These courses are open to licensed RNs and LPNs with at least one year of experience. New grads or less experienced nurses are welcome to enroll in the Telemetry and Critical Care courses as long as you complete the EKG course.

EKG Course Details

The EKG course is for new grad or less experienced nurses who would like to take the Critical Care and/or Telemetry course. The course includes EKG interpretation and is an online format.

  • Upcoming cohort dates:
    • June 21, 2021 - July 2, 2021 (GateWay)
  • Cost: $100 (includes $15 registration fee)

Telemetry Course Details

The Telemetry Nursing course is for licensed nurses who are interested in increasing their knowledge or entering a telemetry environment. The course includes an overview of cardiac anatomy and physiology, and the conduction system. 

  • Upcoming cohort dates:
    • June 1, 2021 - July 17, 2021 (Mesa)
    • June 21, 2021 - July 29, 2021 (Paradise Valley)
  • Cost: $430 (includes $15 registration fee, $75 course fee, and reference book)

Critical Care Course Details

The Critical Care Nursing course is for licensed nurses who are interested in entering the critical care environment or nurses who seek to increase their expertise in critical care. The course includes basic anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology, as well as disease management for the following systems: cardiac, respiratory, neuroscience, gastrointestinal, renal, endocrine and hematology, hemodynamics, and ventilator management.

  • Upcoming cohort dates:
    • April 19, 2021 - May 21, 2021 (GateWay)
    • July 5, 2021 - August 6, 2021 (GateWay)
  • Cost: $430 (includes $15 registration fee, $75 course fee, and reference book)
